Okay, so now they have a composer for the film. Steven Price. I have a feeling that the announcement of the release date is close.... filmmusicreporter.com/2012/09/22/steven-price-to-score-alfonso-cuarons-gravity/Steven Price has signed on to score Alfonso Cuaronfs highly anticipated sci-fi thriller Gravity. The film stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock as two astronauts who have to fight to survive on a remote space station after satellite debris wipes out the rest of the crew and destroys most of the station. Cuaron has written the moviefs screenplay with his son Jonas and Rodrigo Garcia (Albert Nobbs, Mother and Child) and is also producing the Warner Bros. Pictures and Heydey Films production with David Heyman (Harry Potter series, I Am Legend). The directorfs regular cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki is lensing the film. Price is best known for his score for last yearfs British alien invasion comedy Attack the Block. He most recently has also written music for the documentary Marley. Cuaronfs previous films featured music by such composers as John Tavener (Children of Men) and Patrick Doyle (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Great Expectations). Gravity is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2013 in both 2D and 3D.

I guess Warner Bros. is trying to figure out if this movie is a potential blockbuster or more for awards-worthy. They recently placed DiCaprio's "The Great Gatsby" in May-release, which means that would be more for blockbuster. They can't really fail with Cuaron-Sandy-George combination when it comes to the timing of the release. Yeah this makes sense. Hopefully they'll guess it right. There's so much anticipation for this film, its killing me.

Oooh! Exciting!! Can't wait already. If 'The Heat' & 'Gravity' come out in the same year, I'm hoping for another great year like 2009 for our girl!!

I came across with this tweet from the VFX company for this film and it looks like the film has completed.
"We have just delivered Gravity: the biggest and most complex project ever undertaken at Framestore. Champagne all round."
Let's keep eye on an official still or trailer or whatever!

I don't know how long I can wait until we finally see some previews to this film! Maybe when "The Hobbit" came out in December?
