This is where we can talk about "Gravity" which will be released in US in 2013. Any news, any thoughts. Here's the basic information of the film. Sorry for the incorrect spelling of Spanish names. I tried to type correctly, but it turned into garbled. "Gravity" Sci-Fi Thriller about a lone survivor of a space mission who desperately tries to return to the Earth where her daughter is waiting. Synopsis: Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone–tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to EarthEnd any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space. Director: Alfonso Cuaron Writers: Alfonso Cuaron, Jonas Cuaron, Rodrigo Garcia Producers: Alfonso Cuaron, David Heyman DP: Emmanuel Lubezki Cast: Sandra Bullock, George Clooney I forgot where I took the pic on set but I think it's from Just Jared. This interview was posted on SBC, but I want to post it here again. During her interview for "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close" back in December 2011, she talked briefly about "Gravity." US residents can watch the clip at the site below, but for non-US residents, and also for those who want to keep the clip, you can download the file here, thanks for SBC's former moderator Cheryll. www.mediafire.com/?h3bq9ljl2hoc5blwww.mtv.com/news/articles/1675806/sandra-bullock-gravity.jhtmlWhen Bullock spoke with MTV News' Josh Horowitz while promoting "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close," she finally shed some light on the mystery project. Whispers of the look and scale of the film have been some of the few details that have slipped through, and Bullock was certainly qualified to confirm the rumors. "It is extraordinary, and I have the messed-up back to prove it," she said with a laugh, later adding that the film's technology will "blow your mind." We also know the film's setting Espace Eand there's been talk of the isolation Bullock's character experiences throughout the film. Bullock spoke about working on the set and the rig she spent most of her days in. "The first day of set, we're on a massive soundstage. All I see is this large, black arm. ... I realize that's what made the cars in Detroit," Bullock joked. "We called her 'Iris,' and she was on a long track, and there was a cube of lights with this metal contraption in it. They go, 'That's the light box where you're going to be.' " Bullock said she was either locked in the box or strung up in a rigging system until Clooney arrived on set, but once he left, things returned to normal. "I never had a human being to interact with until George showed up, and when he left, it was like the great vacuum. It was isolation like I had never experienced in my life," she said. When pressed to describe the tone of the film, Bullock struggled to pin down exactly how to describe it. "It is going to be so profoundly silent and big and loud. I don't know how to explain it, because I have never seen anything like it. I never experienced anything like it," she said. "There are no words in my mental dictionary that can describe what this experience was, but once you see it, you're, you're just going to be like, 'Oh my f---ing God.' "

Also already posted on SBC. Guillermo del Toro, who is Alfonso Cuaron's friend, talked about "Gravity" in August 2011. There is a video clip at the source. moviesblog.mtv.com/2011/08/15/guillermo-del-toro-alfonso-cuaron-gravity/As if we didn't already have enough reasons to be excited for Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity," Guillermo del Toro is here to vouch that it's going to blow our minds. It's a movie that's taken a very long time to get into production, and even had James Cameron skeptical of its scope. But I didn't put it on my list of movies that desperately needed to be put through production in 2011 for nothing, and with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney in the lead roles it seems like it could be certifiably great. Del Toro seems to think that it's going to change sci-fi films as we know them. "I'm amazed at Alfonso the past few movies because he's completely transformed himself," he said when MTV News spoke with him recently. "['Gravity' is] incredibly well-calculated. Very human, if you know the story." Like Cameron with "Avatar," Cuaron's has created new camera technology for "Gravity" so he can give it the look he pictures for the sci-fi epic. Though del Toro wouldn't share what exactly Cuaron has come up with, he said that it will likely get a lot of press soon and is very Kubrickian. "[They're] absolutely pushing a new boundary in filmmaking, completely mindblowing. And the way they're making that movie will, I think, forever change certain types of productions," he said. If that's not enough to get you excited, the news that Cuaron managed to out-Cameron James Cameron might. Turns out del Toro put Cuaron in touch with Cameron to try to get some insight for their camera technology, and Cameron said that what they wanted to do couldn't be done. "Jim said, well you know, look, you're about five years into the future. When Jim said that it's too early to try anything that crazy, they did it," del Toro said.

George Clooney talked about "Gravity" for a couple of times. 1) The Hollywood Reporter (September 2011) video at the source.www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/george-clooney-talks-gravity-video-234139"Well, I don't want to spoil it for you ... everyone dies," Clooney joked of the picture, directed by Alfonso Cuaron. The film, set in outer space, tells the tale of a lone survivor of an ill-fated mission to repair the Hubble telescope, and his quest to return to Earth. And, the actor tells THR he has high hopes for its success. "It's just a beautiful story, and it's really well done. And, I hope it ends up being a great film. Visually, I haven't seen anything like it in my life." He also had kind words to say about his co-star, Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock. "It's Sandy Bullock, who I love, who I've been friends with for 25 years, and it's she and I floating in space."2) USA TODAY (November 2011)content.usatoday.com/communities/entertainment/post/2011/11/george-clooney-tethered-to-sandra-bullock/1But he somehow found the time to share some insight with USA TODAY on his film coming out next fall: Gravity, a thoughtful sci-fi drama with Sandra Bullock about two astronauts working on a space station. "A satellite blows up," Clooney says, "and space junk causes damage. We go out in space suits, and she and I are tethered together, floating through space." This isn't the first time Clooney has landed on a space station in a movie, although few saw 2002's Solaris, a cerebral love story with an intergalactic setting directed by his pal Steven Soderbergh. Gravity, directed and co-written by Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), sounds as if it could be challenging, as well. "It's a two-hander with only two actors in the whole film," he says. "It is a very odd film, really. Two people in space. No monsters. It's more like 2001 than an action film."But with Clooney teaming onscreen with Bullock for the first time, Gravity will likely have no trouble pulling 'em in. "Sandy is the lead," he says. "And she is beautiful in it. We have known each for way over 20 years. It's fun to work with her."There is an added attraction to be had: The chance to see two of the most popular actors in the universe in 3-D. It's a feature that Clooney sounds somewhat less than thrilled with ."It is the first time I've been in 3-D and, hopefully, the last time. " Not that he has seen the results. "It's not near ready yet. They just showed the first cut to the studio. "

Sandy talked about "Gravity" during EL&IC interview. content.usatoday.com/communities/entertainment/post/2011/12/sandra-bullock-explains-george-clooneys-3-d-fear/1Recently, George Clooney expressed some concern about entering the third dimension in Gravity, his sci-fi adventure due next fall. Although he had a cameo in Spy Kids 3-D, he told USA TODAY, " It's the first time I've been in 3-D and, hopefully, the last time." Perhaps his co-star Sandra Bullock, whose medical engineer ends up being stranded in space with Clooney's seasoned astronaut, can elaborate on why he had such a bad reaction to the process. Says the actress, whose latest film, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, opens Christmas Day: "You mean Jorge? Jorge Clooney?" -- which is apparently how their Mexican-born director Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men) prefers to call him. Then, she explains: "God help us all when my face comes rushing at you with no makeup on. I'm going to apologize now, but Alfonso, in a brilliant move, said, 'No makeup.'" So what was Jorge's problem? "Our vain little heads are going to be some massive 17-foot image. You are going to see details because it's shot on this digital film that shows everything. It's so scary. There are scenes where you say, 'This is where you have to let go and let God.' And, thank God, there are no nude scenes."

Thanks for bringing all the news over I'm really excited to see the first movie in a long time in which Sandy is the lead role again. Not so sure about the sci-fi aspect of it, but I will wait and see it for myself.
