I wonder if Brad and Sandy have been in contact... Matthew McConaughey also held a fundrasing event the same night in NOLA, and I wonder how Sandy chose Brad's event instead of Matthew's. Speaking of New Orleans, Warren Easton's graduation ceremony will be on Monday. Sandy has granted scholoarship again this year, and I'm wondering maybe she'll attend the ceremony too? photo: www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2632195/Sandra-Bullock-Louis-enjoy-relaxed-family-Sunday-aquarium.html (I also posted the same at "out and about" thread) Attachments:

People.com has an inside report of the event. I wish there were more photos. Or videos. www.people.com/article/brad-pitt-sandra-bullock-make-it-right-new-orleans-gala Brad Pitt sure knows how to throw a party – for a good cause. The 12 Years a Slave producer, fianceé Angelina Jolie and several of their friends – like A-listers Sandra Bullock and Sofia Vergara – were in New Orleans Saturday night for the second annual Make It Right gala. Chris Rock hosted the star-studded soiree, while Bruno Mars and Kings of Leon were the musical guests. Comedian Jim Gaffigan cracked up the audience, at one point "describing his remarkable resemblance to Brad Pitt," a guest tells PEOPLE. When it came time for fundraising, the nonprofit's founder and event chairman Pitt, along with pal Bullock, took to the stage to run the live auction. "The highlight of the night was Brad and Sandy Bullock encouraging the crowd to buy a Make It Right home, alternatively funny and moving," the guest says. "The two of them were great together," says the guest, noting how they encouraged guests to purchase homes outright to give to residents in need. "Sandra was hilarious. They were bantering back and forth. It was like they were on The Price Is Right, taking bids." Every guest who pledged $10,000 was eligible to win a car, and "Brad and Sandra pulled the winner's name out of a hat at the end of the night," the guest says. By the gala's end, the pair raised $4 million – with many of the event's celebrity guests buying homes for those in need. Pitt founded the organization, which builds sustainable homes and buildings for communities in need, in 2007, following the devastation left by Hurricane Katrina. Besides New Orleans, Make It Right also has projects in Montana, Newark and Kansas City. "You can't believe the change in the Lower Ninth Ward," says a guest who toured the Katrina-ravaged neighborhood in New Orleans. "There are 100 of these bright homes, families are back, kids are out playing. It's so great." To donate, visit makeitright.org.

Sandy & BMW! www.usatoday.com/story/driveon/2014/05/20/sandra-bullock-brad-pitt-bmw/9325115/BMW had found yet another market for its newfangled electric city car: celebrity-driven charity auctions. The automaker says it donated an i3 electric car to actor Brad Pitt's Make It Right charity. The charity builds environmentally sound homes and buildings, so an electric car is a natural fit. The car, worth $55,000, was auctioned off by Sandra Bullock on Saturday night in New Orleans. Make It Right was founded by Pitt in 2007, who had become alarmed at the lack of rebuilding in the Lower Ninth Ward section of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The charity has gone on to create housing projects in other cities as well, such as Newark and Kansas City, according to its website. BMW strived to make the i3 as "green" as possible. The carbon fiber for its body is made at a plant that depends a lot on hydroelectric power. The car uses a lot of natural materials, like eucalyptus, plant fibers and olive leaf extract. Attachments:
