If it helps, this new from Screen Daily confirms that "Our Brand is crisis" will start to be shot at the end of september. So perhaps as in "The heat" or "The blind side" it will be a short recording and hopefully a reléase quite son. Maybe. www.screendaily.com/news/david-gordon-green-heads-to-bolivia/5077179.article?referrer=RSSIf it is true that they will film in Bolivia, that will bring Sandra memories of her "Fire in the Amazon", which was recorded in Peru but supposedly happened in Bolivia

Thank for the link. It says they'll film in October, November and January. They have a break in December which may be something to do with Louis's school schedule as Sandy probably wouldn't want to interfere it. And if they finish filming in January, I hope it'll be released by the end of 2015. I already like the director calling Sandy "Sandy" haha. It's always a good sign. Hopefully we'll get to see some photos on set.
Here's the contents of the link:
Our Brand Is Crisis stars Sandra Bullock, who will also executive produce, with the Warner Bros project produced by Smokehouse.
David Gordon Green, whose Manglehorn plays tonight [Sept 6] in Toronto, is gearing up to start shooting his next film Our Brand Is Crisis in three weeks.
Sandra Bullock will star and executive produce. George Clooney and Grant Heslov’s Smokehouse is producing the Warner Bros project.
The film will shoot in October and November before breaking for December and resuming in January.
“It’s about American political consultants in Bolivia. I just got back from doing some research in Bolivia. It will shoot in New Orleans, Puerto Rico and Bolivia,” Green told Screen. The film will be partially Spanish language.
The film is based on Rachel Boynton’s 2005 documentary Our Brand In Crisis.
“I loved it when this came up, it’s a challenging studio movie, I’m up for those kind of efforts. Sandy’s really awesome and wants to make this something distinctive, and once you pull off a Gravity, people let you do something you’re really passionate about. I would love to be the guy that helps big movie stars do stuff like that,” Green says.
He has some experience in that, by recently casting Nicolas Cage in Joe and then Al Pacino in Manglehorn.
Green also recently shot the pilot of Red Oaks for Amazon.

Thanks both for the news!
I can't wait, especially because of this: "the film will be partially Spanish language". I can't wait for heard Sandy speaking Spanish!
And if it is filmed in Bolivia, it's so close from Argentina!
Bel I agree with you about him calling her "Sandy", and I hope you are right about it being released at the end of 2015!

Thanks for the news. Billy Boob Thornton is a great character actor and I feel he'd have good chemistry with Sandy.
They will be filming for Oct & Nov, so I wonder if we'll get to see Sandy & Melissa reunion for Halloween this year.

Thanks, Bel!
Apparently Reynaldo Pacheco, a bolivian actor, is joining Sandy on the film.
And I read that is not for sure that Billy Bob will be part of the cast, sadly!

Thanks! I'm glad that that article included Billy Bob. It's obviously a low budget film, but it would be better to have another big name.

More details of story is revealed and Billy Bob is in it after all. www.broadwayworld.com/bwwmovies/article/Filming-Underway-for-David-Gordon-Greens-OUR-BRAND-IS-CRISIS-Starring-Sandra-Bullock-20141013?PageSpeed=noscriptFilming is underway in New Orleans on director David Gordon Green's ("Pineapple Express," "George Washington") feature adaptation of the critically acclaimed 2005 documentary "Our Brand is Crisis," starring Oscar winners Sandra Bullock ("The Blind Side") and Billy Bob Thornton ("Sling Blade"). When a group of American consultants accept the challenge of getting an unpopular Bolivian president re-elected, they realize they need help. Tracking down retired maverick political consultant Jane Bodine (Bullock) to her cabin in the woods, they persuade her to lead the team-a decision they quickly come to regret, as "Calamity" Jane begins to live up to her nickname, unleashing her very own brand of chaos on the campaign. Just as all seems lost, the loathsome Pat Candy (Thornton), Jane's worst enemy, arrives in town to work for the opposition. Suddenly things become personal and as the battle begins the consultants get to see Jane the legend in action. The film also stars Anthony Mackie ("Captain America: The Winter Soldier"), Scoot McNairy ("Gone Girl," "Argo"), Zoe Kazan ("Ruby Sparks"), Ann Dowd ("Side Effects," HBO's "The Leftovers"), Reynaldo Pacheco ("Beginners"), Dominic Flores ("Rampart"), Louis Arcella (NBC's "The Blacklist"), Octavio Gómez Berríos ("Che: Part One") and Joaquim de Almeida ("Fast Five"). Green directs from a screenplay by Oscar nominee Peter Straughan ("Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy"), based on the documentary by Rachel Boynton, which outlined the American political campaign marketing tactics employed in the real-life 2002 Bolivian presidential election. The film is being produced by Oscar-winning Smokehouse Pictures' principals George Clooney and Grant Heslov ("Argo"), with Bullock, Participant Media's Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King, and Stuart Besser serving as executive producers. Participant Media is a co-financier on the film. Green's behind-the-scenes creative team includes frequent collaborators director of photography Tim Orr, editor Colin Patton and production designer Richard A. Wright ("Manglehorn"), as well as costume designer Jenny Eagan ("Now You See Me"). "Our Brand is Crisis" will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment company.
