Mystery solved!
Blanchett told E! News on Monday that she almost missed her Oscar win thanks to drinking at the bar with fellow nominee Julia Roberts. "I was with Julia Roberts in the bar for rather too long and just got back to my seat in time," she said. "The blessing and the curse of this (award) is it happens at the arse end of the evening. So you watch so many other extraordinary people get up there and you lose track of the fact that you're even nominated. Then you get taken by surprise."
At the end, it had nothing to do with Sandra. Well, not that they would say it anyway. It was just weird that she said that between Sandra and Judi's mention haha

Didn't realize Sandy was voted as the best dressed at Oscars.com oscar.go.com/oscars-best-dressedI watched "fashion police" briefly and they praised Sandy as "classic movie star look" or something like that. But they also pointed out the wrinckles on the dress that must have been made sitting for a long time in a car. Attachments:

When I was watching it I was so sure she would get up. Was a lil disappointed when it didn't happen.

Thanks for the links. We have no problem of posting links from other fansites on our side. I'm not sure how other fansites feel about that, but I'd think as far as we credit them, it should be fine... after all, we are all Sandy fans. sandrabullockweb always has great gallery. I wonder how they obtain photos without watermarks.
Anyway, people at sandrabullockweb, thank you for your great photos!

I am a little disgruntled with how the Oscars turned out. The movie Gravity was receiving Oscars left and right for all its nominations yet leave it to the star of the movie and forget it. Instead they give it to another chick who played in a movie that doesn't measure up. There isn't a movie of hers that I've seen that I haven't enjoyed. She is a wonderful actress that I grew up watching. I was just a kid when Speed came out and then a senior in high school when I watched Miss Congeniality in theaters. I watched many others over the years and each time finding more enjoyment in her movies and drama. Gravity was like the cherry on top of it all. She really perfected the whole movie and I was a little more than shocked at how that turned out. After seeing how many Oscars the movie got I was sure that Sandra Bullock of her Oscar as well. Did anyone else feel the same way? I saw that she really deserved this for all the work that was put into the choreographic of the movie, the drama and that simple fact she had to perform ninety percent of the movie solo and keep her audience glued on her. I can't stand movies with only a few characters because they're usually pretty dry and grey. Though I love her movies had I of known it was only three characters I might not have gone to see it. But it was a very captivating and breathtaking movie and I can't think of anyone else that could've pulled it off better than she did. Though I know I am just a fan out In Kentucky, she got an Oscar in my book.

Well, first of all, welcome to the forum!
Well, Cate Blanchett had been winning almost everything, and I thought she would win the Oscar too. I haven't seen "Blue Jasmine," so I can't judge if Cate deserved it more than Sandy did, but I'm sure Cate is great in it as she's always. Sandy will have another chance now that she's considered as a serious actor.
